  • Upon sending a new case to Case In Point, the initial process will be very smooth if the following are included in the file:
  1. If an appointed case, a copy of the approved motion for funds sanctioning the use of an investigator and the number associated with the assignment of counsel (NAC in Massachusetts).
  2. The Criminal Complaint and/or Indictment.
  3. All relevant police reports, grand jury testimony, and any other information that would assist in the investigation of the incident in question.
  4. You may also include any specific instructions or general strategy you plan to incorporate.
  • During the course of the investigation, it is very helpful for the investigator to be made aware of:
  1. Any motions that you intend to file, as well as general updates as the case develops.
  2. Your preferences regarding the way in which the investigator will supply reports and updates (ex. phone, email, etc.).
  3. Court dates upcoming, and of course when the case can be closed.
